Being the bride, things tend to get out of focus and rushed and it zooms right by so fast that you don’t really remember much until you see what the eye of your photographer captured for you to go back in time and witness one of the most beautiful and loving days in ones life!!!

I went to Chantal Benoit Photography in order to do Boudoir pictures for my husband for Xmas. I had met with a few different photographers but knew the minute I met with Chantal that she would be the photographer I would use as she made me feel very comfortable – while at the same time explaining everything around cost, her expectations, what I can expect on the day of the shoot etc. This was very much appreciated because it was one less thing to worry about.
As many women probably are, I was nervous and felt very vulnerable but Chantal immediately made me feel very relaxed and at ease. Chantal went through my outfits and was able to tell me what she would photograph first, what shoes would work with what outfit, etc. I had a beautiful room to change in along with candlelight for a relaxed mood and a lovely satin robe to cover myself between outfits. From the first picture Chantal took to the very last I was completely calm and having more fun then I thought I would! We talked and laughed during the whole process and had a lot of fun with the pictures. Chantal was so encouraging that I had this new found confidence and felt very sexy!The pictures surpassed my wildest expectations! I kept looking at them thinking “Is this really me??!!!” Chantal did such a beautiful job! My one and only disappointment with the whole process was how my husband and I could possibly choose between all these incredible pictures!!!

A couple of years ago I read an article on a photographer from Orleans who did Boudoir photography. The article intrigued me and I thought that might be something I would like to experience. I approached the time in my life where I was feeling great about decided it was now or never.
Working with Chantal was a fantastic experience. Her professionalism was paramount and she genuinely took an interest in the type of image that I wanted to convey in my pictures. She was very open to suggestions and made the shoot fun and exciting. She was able to capture the best of who I am and the resulting pictures surpassed my expectations.

I met Chantal a few years back for boudoir pictures. Since then my body has been through a lot of change especially after having 3 kids. I always told myself I would go back to see her for boudoir pictures after a little nip/tuck cause I had so much fun with her the first time. But then I thought life is so busy with 3 kids and this dream of correcting my little flaws is silly. So I decided to embrace my little flaws as they are traces of my past, my 3 amazing kids.
I had a lot of fun preparing for this session by shopping and going to the salon to get my hair and make up done. At the beginning I felt a little shy but Chantal turned that around quick! After our session I felt sexy, I felt like an individual, I felt empowered , like I could do anything.
Thank you Chantal for bringing my sexy back!! You sure do know how to make my not so perfect body look amazing. I will for sure want to do this again as for once, it was about ME!!

Life begins at 40 … a myth? Maybe!
In all honesty, I wasn’t the happiest person the day I started this new decade. I’m sure many can attest to having felt the same way. Although skeptical, I soon came to realize that the forties weren’t so bad – in fact, they are wonderful. I’m not only enjoying them to the fullest, I’ve learned to accept myself as I am, as I look. So I thought why not be a bit “risqué” and have boudoir pictures taken …. Yes, it took a while to get the courage to actually do it.
On a snowy winter’s day, my husband and I decided to go to this “adult” show that’s pretty popular in the Ottawa area and there was Chantal’s booth — both of us were in awe at the pictures on display and in her portfolio albums. I turned to my husband and said “One day I’ll do this for real” and I walked away with her business card. The perfect opportunity for me to actually do this was my husband’s 50th birthday early this year – so I sent Chantal an email with the subject line “I’m taking the plunge”. Within minutes I got such a friendly reply back that I knew I’d made a wise choice in approaching her. My “boudoir” photography adventure began!!
I met Chantal face-to-face for the first time during the pre-shoot session. Right away we hit it off; her simple demeanor, professionalism quickly put me at ease. We spent an hour chit-chatting, getting to know each other, and browsing her boudoir portfolio to prepare for the actual photo shoot.
On the day of, I was so nervous. As I walked in, as promised, Chantal offered me a glass of wine which I most definitely accepted without any hesitation (lol)! Once I’d gathered my thoughts, taken a few deep breadths I joined her in her studio and the shoot began. The next 2 hours were absolutely wonderful – here I was posing in all my glory and feeling fabulous.
Then came the day to choose; not an easy task I assure you. It took me almost an hour to decide. Chantal highlighted a few things without influencing my decision but making it a bit easier for me. Thank goodness otherwise I fear I would have taken a whole lot longer which speaks to the quality of her work and how well she captured the moments. I look hot, sexy, amazing … MERCI, MERCI, et MERCI!!!!
Now on the home stretch, I picked up the “merchandise” and presented it to my husband. He looked at me with a big smile and said “You really did it”. Very proudly I replied – “Yes, I just had to find the right time to do it”. Did he like? – OH YES HE LIKED.

Just wanted to let you know I gave Barry the poster size picture for his birthday at the end of Jan as he got too many gifts at xmas, so I showed restraint and held onto it till then.
He has it propped up on top of his dresser. When I got home for a 4 day business trip he said he never noticed what sexy legs I had as he must have always been too focused on the rest of me (blush). Just this morning I heard him say “good morning beautiful”, I responded “aww, thanks Bear, good morning to you too…” …. but he was talking to the photograph!!!! LMAO!!!!

“I have been blessed with two beautiful little girls. It is wonderful, yet heart-breaking to see them grow up so fast. When my first daughter was born, I was anxious to have photos taken so that I could show them off. At the time, I was familiar with the process of taking my child to a department/grocery store photographer. My first experience in doing this was not pleasant. I left the 15 minute photo session with a crying child and photos that reflected a not so happy baby. As she grew older, it became even more difficult. The short photo sessions would not provide adequate time to photograph my very busy toddler. And of course I had a difficult choice to make each time I went to choose my photos – which photo would I be happy displaying on my wall? Although the price was great, the quality of the photo session and end product reflected the price I paid. When I was expecting my second child, a co-worker introduced me to Chantal Benoit. I saw Chantal for the first time for maternity photos and since then have been back many times to have photos taken of the kids. Yes, I do pay more than I used to but the added value is unbelievable. Chantal takes whatever time is needed to obtain exceptional photgraphs of the kids. I still have a difficult time making a choice of photos but now it is for the opposite reason – the photos are all great and it is so hard to narrow down my choice! The end product truly represents Chantal’s experience, knowledge, signficant time investment and creativity. You cannot put a price tag on a product like this. These are photos that my daughters will look back to when they grow old. A memory to last forever and Chantal captures it all. Think about how much we spend every year on vacations, restaurants, television programming, phone, etc. The cost of paying an independent photographer is so much less compared to all of these expenses. Yet…what you receive in return is worth so much more. I am extremely disappointed that I did not meet Chantal earlier when my oldest daughter was a baby. Unfortunately when time has passed you cannot go back. This is what makes it all so valuable.”
