Isn’t time you took ownership of your body? Yes You!!!
Remember a time in your life? Gain confidence and self-esteem?
Boudoir photography used to be spoken in secrecy. It used to be a style of photography that was not considered appropriate due to a risqué nature. But today, women are more open and boudoir photography has been rising in popularity. It is considered to be fun, hot and no longer something to hide!
A bit nervous or shy. No worries. Let me tell you about Leslie.
This sweet little women came to my studio for a consultation. I could tell she was shy and nervous. Making her feel comfortable and relaxed was very important so I could give her the most out of her session.
We talked about everything and anything. The day of the session we spent 2 hours together and we had a blast. It was my pleasure to pamper her. Leslie showed she can be sexy!

Between the session and the showing of her proofs, Leslie would send me e-mails telling me she really enjoyed her experience so I asked her if she could put down in writing what it was like for her to have had a boudoir session done.

Here is what she had to say.
“I went to Chantal Benoit Photographer in order to do Boudoir pictures for my husband for Xmas.
I had met with a few different photographers but knew the minute I met with Chantal that she would be the photographer I would use as she made me feel very comfortable – while at the same time explaining everything around cost, her expectations, what I can expect on the day of the shoot etc. This was very much appreciated because it was one less thing to worry about.
As many women probably are, I was nervous and felt very vulnerable but Chantal immediately made me feel very relaxed and at ease. Chantal went through my outfits and was able to tell me what she would photograph first, what shoes would work with what outfit, etc. I had a beautiful room to change in along with candlelight for a relaxed mood and a lovely satin robe to cover myself between outfits.
From the first picture Chantal took to the very last I was completely calm and having more fun then I thought I would! We talked and laughed during the whole process and had a lot of fun with the pictures.
Chantal was so encouraging that I had this new found confidence and felt very sexy!
The pictures surpassed my wildest expectations! I kept looking at them thinking “Is this really me??!!!” Chantal did such a beautiful job! My one and only disappointment with the whole process was how my husband and I could possibly choose between all these incredible pictures!!!
Thank you Chantal for the most freeing, liberating and FUN experience!! I have told everybody I know about your work and will continue to! You are the best and now my friend and I thank you for this wonderful experience! – Leslie Joy”

For all of you who hesitate to have a sexy boudoir session, I hope this testimonial brings your comfort.

Emilie and Luke met by accident when Emilie backed into Luke’s truck. They exchanged phone numbers and a connection was made. Who would have thought an accident would blossom into a romantic relationship.
They have been together for 3 years and decided it was time to get intimate photos taken to decorate their bedroom wall. The portraits they chose will be pieces of art they will cherish forever.
During the session, they were quiet, attentive and not afraid to show how they felt for one another. There is nothing more gratifying for a photographer than to capture the love and emotion between two people. Their images speak for themselves.

Emilie is an esthetician and a nail artist for the Studio Aqua Salon in Rockland. Feel free to follow them on Facebook.

There is no age, shape or size for boudoir portraits neither is there a perfect body.
Some women will choose to do their boudoir session before they start a family because their body is where they want it to be, other women are comfortable in their body and age is just a number. It’s all about their personality, perception and attitude. Some women will do artistic nudes, others will entice their partner by hiding their assets under revealing lingerie.

A younger women might do it for her fiancé as a wedding gift incorporating his hobby or favourite sport with an oversize shirt or a pair of boxer shorts.

Some women will do it to capture a moment in time or to show off their breast enhancement or tummy tuck. It’s a second relationship and she’s excited to shop for cute and sexy lingerie whether it’s a bra and panties, garters, heels, stockings, one piece lingerie, lace, leather, satin and velvet so she can have these sexy and alluring images to present to her new partner.

Boudoir is a perfect atedote for a divorce women rediscovering herself and help her take back ownership of her body and her self-esteem. It’s empowering.
Boudoir is a personal experience. It’s all about feeling sexy and incredible regardless of her age. It has become more popular than engagement photos.
So what is holding you back? You deserve to feel beautiful.

Boudoir photography is a style that involves sensual poses. The idea is to give a sense of teasing.
Boudoir is not just for women. Men are very welcome to join their loved one. Imagine having a sexy wall portrait of both of you hanging in your bedroom. Boudoir has always been related to the bedroom and is viewed as a private space. What a better place to showcase your love, intimacy and sensuality.
You can opt to create a seductive shot partly clothed without revealing too much skin, a more clothed sexy attire, reveal yourself in lingerie or show off your curves by choosing to do artistic nudes. Regardless of your choice the end result will reflect you.
People will buy paintings of the unknown to decorate their house why not showcase yourself. This is exactly what Andrea & Rob did with this stunning photo. Their clothing attire reflect their personality and even though they chose not to reveal too much, this photo is sexy and shows that they truly appreciate one another.

I went to the Southway Inn during lunch today to photograph a group for the Niagara School of Institute and when I got back I had this in my inbox.
“Hi Chantal!
Just a quick note to let you know how much my husband loved my recent boudoir photos. Since he knows how shy I can be about myself and my body image, he loves the fact that I stepped outside my comfort zone to do this for him.
Thanks again for all your work. You will be the first person I call when I convince him to do a family portrait:)
You are awesome!
Jennifer”
