It is an important asset to your business so it can help clients visualize your brand, who you are and help them make a connection with you.

Business portraits should be updated every 1 to 2 years, especially for women who change their hairstyle and color.

Investing in your community is a great way to give back to those who have helped support your business. Every year I get asked to support, either clients walking/running for various charities by making a donation or I get asked to support schools, hockey team, daycare who are raising funds by giving them a gift certificate for a photo session. I always try to choose different clients and organizations to make it fair for everyone.
I was approach by one of my client, who is a real estate agent for Royal Lepage, to donate a gift certificate, because her son attends L’École des Pioniers in Orleans and they were raising funds through an auction to support school activities. The lucky winner of the family portrait session was Chantal Lessard. Her family was in need of refreshing their family portrait so this prize came in at a very good time. She brought her parents, sibling, spouse and children. The Lessard family were very easy to work with, all they asked me was a group photo of everyone however since they were all here and looked nice, we did a couple of other combos such as the kids together.
Giving back to the community has allot of advantages. It brings personal satisfaction, makes the world a better place, the donation is tax deductible and if you are a small business like me, you appreciate the visibility. When was the last time you gave?
