Tairy and I met through Twitter. She is the owner of Brinkeetos which provides fun activities to help children develop and keep fit at the same time.
She mentioned she recently got married and showed me one of her wedding photos. I thought Tairy and Sylvain were such a stunning couple, so I asked her if she would be interested in putting on her dress one more time and model for me for a Trash the Dress session.
Trash the Dress is an opportunity for the bride to cherish her dress again. Some choose a different location that is meaningful to them, which was not possible to attend on the wedding day such as a farmer’s field, the woods or a park. Some choose a more risqué look such as the beach and water, playing paintball, riding their ATV’s or a horse. Some choose to really trash the dress by putting it on fire or tearing the dress apart.
For Tairy and Sylvain, I chose a more classic look, so I could use the photos to showcase not only a Trash the Dress but also engagement photos, intimate weddings or for destination wedding couples who want professional photos other than the one they receive at their selected resort.
We went to the Museum of Nature which was their chosen wedding portrait location and then I brought them to Tabaret Hall at Ottawa University. Tairy and Sylvain where very patient models and agreed to all my poses and ideas.
They both looked amazing and still had their wedding glow.
Working with them was easy and this slide show is the proof.
